Our Mission

It shall be the mission of the Mesquite Citizen Police Academy to educate citizens in the policing efforts of the Mesquite Police Department. The academy shall provide a forum wherein police may benefit from the citizen’s perspective of the efficiency and the quality of policing services provided. Citizens shall be provided the opportunity to learn from personal experience the challenges faced by law enforcement officers policing in today’s environment. Both the community and the police will share a commitment to improving the responsiveness of the Mesquite Police Department in resolving community policing problems. That through this shared commitment, our community may enjoy an improved quality of life.
